This is me presenting my Evaluation to the rest of my class, I presented each question and also asked for some feedback from them, they said it was detailed with a good use of photos and videos.

Evaluation- Question 1

'Run' Music Video

This is my music video that I have created over the A2 course, I have used effective shots, effects and transitions to make the video to look like it has been produced professionally, I think that the video meets the codes and conventions of a music videos, I have met all types of the types of music videos which are narrative, amplify and performance.

Construction

To start of my construction of my music video, I had to import all of my raw footage and my artists soundtrack into Adobe Premier Pro. Premier pro. Adobe Premiere Pro is a timeline-based video editing software application. It is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud, which includes video editing, graphic design, and web development programs.

I had to look at my shot list and animatic story board to see what order I wanted the shots and footage to go in. I tried my best to stick with the with what I had already come up with, but at some points I had better ideas.
I have used premier pro previously which advanced me as I already knew what I was doing.

This is me editing my video

The way premier pro works is that there is a timeline, when I add footage I will drag it to the time line and it will show me the exact minute and second of the clips that I enter. By having a time line it enables me to see what I am doing a lot clear as to if I didn't have one.

My time line

As you can see from the image above, at the left hand side, all my raw footage is placed there. I can then double click on what clip I would like, watch it, crop it, then drag it down into my timeline and it will appear in the video box to at the top right.
One bit that I did plan on doing was the self recording shot. To make this realistic I decided to add a more a template around the shot so that it looked like a real video recorded was recording at the time.

First of all I created the iconic red dot that sits in the corner of a video recorder whilst it is recording. This is something that most people would expect to see from a home video that are produced. It was more so in the 1980-2005 when these cameras were used the most.

I then had to add the word 'rec', this was to ensure that the views definitely knew what I was trying to get across. I tried it in red and white, however I thought red looked better.

I then made boarders around the 'rec'and button, this was to give it a frame, it would be something that you would see from a video recorded. The word 'rec' has a different template from the red button. This is so that I can make a flickering effect of it going on and off.
To make this effect work, I had to put it on the piece of footage that I wanted it to go on, then I added one of the templates that I had created within premier pro and placed it on top of the footage, the first one I added was the red dot. I then went on and added the 'rec' one on top, this would create the flickering effect that I was going for.
This is the overall look of me using templates to create a self-recording effect on a video.
After the production of the video, I had to render it to ensure that when I exported it to my documents then onto YouTube it was going to have the best quality and also that there was no faults throughout the video.
Following the conventions of a music video, I then went back and added my artists name, track name and album name to the first shot of my video. This will allow the audience to know whose video and song it is before they proceed any further. Furthermore, as there had been a good review about the album on my music magazine advertisement from Reggie Yates from radio 1, people might recognise it, watch it and share with others that they should watch it and so on and so forth. This would be a good way of advertising and getting it out to the public.
